Curated Gallery: Glazed Alien Landscapes
This selection of images is a study of the colour and structure of various ceramic glazes. These abstracts give the impression of volcanic lava flows.
The close up macro views from various angles, lit by strong coloured side lighting, together with a shallow depth of field, give an abstract impression of flying over an alien planetary landscape.
Presented here in square format and with the addition of colour, these images are reminiscent of the grainy Hasselblad film images taken during the Apollo moon landings back in the 60s and 70s.
