Curated Gallery: Through Infrared Eyes
The images in this gallery are a study of common scenes all taken using specialist 35mm black-and-white infrared negative film.
This film was sensitive to the visible light spectrum but with decreased green sensitivity resulting in bright white areas and light skin tones. The physical structure of this particular film produces a gritty ‘glow’ often seen in the highlights. So it can render foliage and skin with an etherial almost ghostly nature.
